Build a Skill That Travels

  • Taught live by a practicing CFA who builds models for real M&A and strategy work
  • Starts at genuine zero, including what a financial statement is, in simple language
  • Day two is a build-along, so you type every formula yourself instead of watching
  • A structured Excel workbook sent to you before day two, tabs already laid out
  • Scenario and sensitivity analysis, so the model answers questions instead of just sitting there
  • Live Q&A on both days, so you can stop and ask instead of staying stuck
  • The completed financial model file, yours to reuse as a template
  • A full notes PDF covering both days, so nothing depends on your memory
Why This Bootcamp?

Learn from someone who actually builds them

Most financial modelling courses hand you theory and a certificate. This one hands you a file with your work in it. That difference shows the first time somebody asks you to model something for real.

You type, not just watch

You type, not just watch

Day two is a build-along. The workbook is in your hands before the session starts and you fill it in as we go.

It starts at zero, honestly

It starts at zero, honestly

No assumed background. We define a financial statement before we use the phrase. Commerce students and people from completely unrelated fields both keep up.

Taught by a practitioner

Taught by a practitioner

Apoorva builds models for live deals in strategy consulting and M&A advisory. You get the shortcuts and the warnings that only come from doing the work, not from teaching it.

Live, so you can interrupt

Live, so you can interrupt

Stuck on a formula in row 42? Say so. That is the advantage of a live room over a recorded course.

Two mornings, not two months

Two mornings, not two months

One weekend. Saturday and Sunday, 10 to 1, and it is done.

You keep everything

You keep everything

The finished model and full notes stay with you, so the skill does not evaporate the moment the call ends.

Apoorva Kushagra

"You are not going to watch me build a model. You are going to build one." Apoorva works in growth strategy and M&A advisory at WEchartered, where financial models are part of the job, not just the classroom. He’s built a credit scoring model for a $200M government fund, developed a cash flow framework for small-business lending, and helped a startup raise $300K.

He also started his career as a marine engineer, so he knows what it’s like to learn finance from scratch. Today, he teaches Board360’s CFA program, and is particularly good at making sure the person quietly lost in the room doesn’t stay lost.

The Agenda

The Full Two Days

Day 1 | Session 1: Understanding Financial Statements

Start with the basics, then break down a real company’s P&L from revenue to net profit.

Day 1 | Session 2: Balance Sheet & Cash Flow

Understand assets, liabilities and equity, and why profit doesn’t always mean cash in the bank.

Day 1 | Session 3: How It All Connects

See how the three financial statements work together, where financial models come in, and the Excel basics you’ll need.

Day 2 | Session 4: Setting Up the Model

Open Excel and start building. Learn how to structure a model and set up your assumptions.

Day 2 | Session 5: Forecasting the Business

Build revenue and cost forecasts based on real business drivers, not random percentages.

Day 2 | Session 6: Linking & Stress-Testing

Link the model, test different scenarios, troubleshoot errors, and close with a live Q&A.
